The Lonely Tree Café is a social enterprise set up by the Apostolic Prefecture of Battambang with the help of S.A.U.C.E and Catholic Mission Australia. Our aim is to provide formation, employment and empowerment to vulnerable youth in risk of social and labour exclusion all whilst redirecting profits to support multiple humanitarian lines of action of the Apostolic Prefecture of Battambang.
Visit www.catholicmission.org.au,www.sauceong.ong and www.battambang.net for me information regarding our social actions.
Located at the heart of Battambang city, the Lonely Tree Cafe is a cosy, stylish café–restaurant. Brick walls, tall ceilings, bamboo and elegant tables characterise the main restaurant situated on the top floor. We offer a variety of Spanish, Mediterranean, Western and Khmer dishes, exquisite fruit juices, shakes, and deserts.
Handicrafts include summer shirts and trousers, typical Khmer “Kromas”, a variety of purses, wallets, accessory bags, and hand-carved wood souvenirs amongst other items. We care about conserving Cambodian cultural heritage, and thus our handicrafts are made in the traditional manner by people whose skills have been passed on through generations.
The vast majority of items sold in the Lonely Tree Store are crafted by people with disabilities (mostly victims of landmine accidents and poliomyelitis) from the programs we support around Cambodia.
We want to create a welcoming environment inspired by " Laudato Si" for our customers by offering good service and food quality, as wells the opportunity to acquire unique Cambodia handicrafts made with the best fabrics.
